Health and mental health difficulties

Learners with on-going health difficulties may require support to manage their studies. They may benefit from some one-to-one Additional Learning Support to catch up after a period of absence, an extension on deadlines and rest breaks during exams. Please speak to Roy Emmerson on 01502 525069 or Sean Ojeniyi on 01502 525196 for further information.

At Lowestoft College we recognise that mental wellbeing can be an issue for many people at some point in their lives. One-to-one Additional Learning Support can help support learners who experience difficulties such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia and psychosis during their course.

With the learner's permission we work closely with outside agencies to ensure a network of support is available.

English and Maths Revision @ The Hub

Lowestoft College Nov 2016 (206)

From March 13th to the end of the academic year, we are running revision sessions – this includes English and Maths for GCSEs and Functional Skills. The aim will be to provide help on some of the areas of these subjects you are finding difficult, to practise exam papers under the guidance of specialist tutors and to give practical advice about revising in these subjects.

As a college, we are advising students to plan at least 2 hours of revision per week; attendance at these sessions can be a perfect way of keeping you on track to reach this goal.

Click the link below to see when these sessions will be taking place.

Good luck in your exams!
