The College campus is based on St Peter's Street, Lowestoft. The facilities include:

LRC

Our Learning Resources Centre (LRC) is a bright, welcoming space for study and learning events. Our friendly and knowledgeable LRC staff will support you in your studies, helping you to find the resources you need, use the computers and plan your course work.

The LRC includes spaces for silent study and group work. Throughout the year the LRC is a hub for events that encourage and celebrate learning and employability. We host careers events, student art shows, the health and wellbeing marketplace, as well as themed information days such as internet safety and mental health awareness.

The LRC not only provides the books and other resources you need for your course, we also provide laptops and tablets to use in the LRC, cameras for recording your trips and activities, and have a great-value shop selling equipment and stationery.

Check out our online catalogue of resources or visit us at the front of the College. Our opening hours are Monday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Tuesday – Thursday 8.30am – 8pm, Friday 8.30am – 4pm.

Wi-Fi

Lowestoft College has Wi-Fi available throughout the campus. You will be given a password for the Wi-Fi once you start your course.

The Core

The Core offers a range of hot and cold meals, drinks and snacks. It is open from 8.15am to 6pm and serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and evening meals (between 5 and 6pm). Costa Coffee is available in the Core between 8.15am and 2.45pm on Mondays and Fridays and until 6pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.  
Vending machines are also located in the Core as well as in the Sir Christopher Cockerell Centre.

East Restaurant

East Restaurant operates as a fully functioning restaurant. Students from the catering and hospitality department run the restaurant and gain experience of working in the industry by preparing and serving lunch and dinner for paying customers. Images Hair and Beauty Salons

Students training for a career in the beauty, hairdressing and holistic therapy industry perfect their skills in Images Salons. A wide range of treatments are available - if you would like to know more or would like to book a treatment please click on the Images pages.

Car Park

Students who live further than two miles from Lowestoft College are able to use the student car park. You will need to apply for a permit and will be given the relevant forms during your first week at college. Permits should be displayed whenever your car is parked at the College.

If you ride a motorbike or moped, please use the designated area which can be accessed via the maritime car park.

Nursery

The Lowestoft College Nursery is located on the college campus and offers childcare for children between the age of six weeks and five years. Lowestoft College also manages Ladybird Day Care, which is in the Kirkley Children's Centre and also offers childcare for children between the ages of six weeks and five years. Both nurseries are open to children of students, staff and members of the local community - click on the Nursery pages to find out more.

Common Rooms

Student common rooms and seating areas are located in the Horizon Centre and Sir Christopher Cockerell Centre. Open throughout the day, they are the ideal place to relax between lessons or eat your packed lunch. There is also a wide range of leaflets and booklets which you may find useful. Please treat them with respect so that everyone can enjoy using them. CCTV is in operation and incidents of misuse will result in disciplinary action.

English and Maths Revision @ The Hub

From March 13th to the end of the academic year, we are running revision sessions – this includes English and Maths for GCSEs and Functional Skills. The aim will be to provide help on some of the areas of these subjects you are finding difficult, to practise exam papers under the guidance of specialist tutors and to give practical advice about revising in these subjects.

As a college, we are advising students to plan at least 2 hours of revision per week; attendance at these sessions can be a perfect way of keeping you on track to reach this goal.
