14-19 Apprentice - Electrical Installation

Years 1 to 3

During the four years you will attend the employer's place of work to gain site evidence for your NVQ level 2 and level 3. This is recorded on-line and you will be working with an appointed assessor.

In addition you will also work towards two technical certificates which provide you with the underpinning knowledge you will require in your chosen occupation. (City & Guilds 2330 level 2 and level 3- Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology).

You will also have to complete "Key Skills" in subjects you may not have obtained at school and will be at Level 2.

Also, there is a requirement for you to complete a short course, namely, 'Employers Responsibility & Rights'. This is to ensure that you are aware of your rights & responsibilities in the place of work.

Year 4

In year four, you will complete an NVQ level 3 in the workplace. You will also be required to attend an 'Approved exam centre' for three days to gain the Achievement Measurement level 2 (AM2) exams.
