This is a two year apprenticeship followed by an optional extra year for the advanced apprenticeship.
There are no formal academic entry requirements for this course, although GCSE's are desirable. All applicants undergo an interview and sit computer based assessment tests before acceptance onto the course.
Years 1 & 2
In the first year you will attend college 1 day a week followed by attendance approximately once every six weeks in the second year. You will be working towards obtaining an NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing.
You will also have to complete "Key Skills" in subjects you will not have obtained at school and will be at Level 1.

Year 3
If you wish to continue to year 3 for the advanced apprenticeship, you will attend college one day a week and complete an NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing.
You will also have to complete "Key Skills" in subjects you will not have obtained at school and will be at Level 2.
