Vacancy Description
Lecturer in Dynamic Positioning & Maritime Studies Due to the retirement of a long serving member of our team, we are looking for a professional and highly motivated person to contribute to the delivery and development of a range of Merchant Navy and Offshore training programmes with a focus on our well established Dynamic Positioning training courses.

The successful applicant will have:
  • a professional Merchant Navy Qualification (Master Mariner Unlimited or Chief Mate Unlimited)
  • recent sea going and maritime experience
  • extensive experience as a Dynamic Positioning Operator
  • experience of Kongsberg Dynamic Positioning Systems
  • a Nautical Institute DPO Certificate
  • membership of the Nautical Institute
  • a commitment to obtaining a teaching qualification
In return we will offer:
  • 60 days annual leave (pro-rata)
  • Final salary pension scheme

  Permanent 0.5 FTE position

  Salary
  Up to £33,087 pro-rata per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)

Vacancy Description
Learning Support Assistants We are seeking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to support learners who have a wide range of educational learning needs such as those with disabilities, dyslexia and challenging behaviour. You must be available to work at short notice and to cover all vocational areas within the College. We are looking to recruit a bank of staff who are available on an as and when required basis.
  • Experience of supporting in an inclusive environment
  • A relevant qualification at Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or willingness to work towards
  • Experience of working in education or training would be advantageous

  Salary
  £7.69 - £8.35 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
