Travel and Tourism courses are offered to students of all ages and abilities. The department prides itself on the success of these courses that not only equip students with the necessary vocational skills to work in a range of different travel-related industries but also offer a route into higher education.

for those wishing to pursue a career as
cabin crew. It provides an excellent
grounding in the preparation for cabin
crew in low cost, scheduled and chartered
airlines.

| Name | Description |
| Travel and Tourism - Level 2 | This course provides an excellent
grounding in the skills and knowledge
required for a career in travel. Students
wishing to commence study at this level
should have a range of GCSEs. Mature students and
those over 17 may be exempt from these
formal academic requirements, but will
need to sit an entry test to assess their
suitability.
As with the Level 1 course, prior knowledge of the travel industry is not required. It is essential however, that students bring with them a positive tutor reference. Successful completion of this course and a positive tutor reference should enable students to progress on to the Level 3 course. |

| Name | Description |
| Travel and Tourism - Level 3 | This is an academic course equivalent to
‘A’ levels. A high level of commitment is
therefore necessary as students are
expected to produce quality work to tight
deadlines. As with the courses above, no
prior knowledge of the travel industry is
required. Students wishing to commence
study at this level should have a range of
GCSEs including at least five subjects with
grades between A-C (including English).
Mature students may be exempt from these formal academic requirements, but will need to sit an entry test to assess their suitability. This course not only prepares students for the world of work, but also offers progression to higher education as it attracts UCAS points. |
