14 - 19 and School Leavers - Construction and Trades
Courses including carpentry, plumbing, electrical installation have been designed for students wanting to get work in the construction industry, and, for those who wish to attain skills and qualifications beyond the craft stage.
Students will work and study in the £6.5 million Sir Christopher Cockerell building with its specially designed workshops complete with storage space for each of the trades have been incorporated in to the building. Welding and Fabrication, Brickwork, Carpentry, Joinery and Boat Production and Support are located on the ground floor. Painting and Decorating, Plumbing and Electrical Installation on the first floor.

In practical lessons you will work through a series of projects to develop your hands on skills. Finally you will be expected to produce the assessment piece set by the awarding body to prove your practical skills. |
