14 - 19 and School Leavers - Uniformed Services
These courses provide the basis of study and motivation for a career with the armed forces, police, fire, ambulance and prison services.
Students will explore employment in the uniformed services and will start to develop their skills in relevant areas.
All courses use a blend of practical work such as fitness, map reading, adventurous activities and theory work including looking at the roles and work of the uniformed services.

| Uniformed Services Certificate - Levels 1, 2 or 3 | One year Level 1 and 2 Two years Level 3 Many students learn best when involved in activities which develop their knowledge and skills within a structured, activity based framework, particularly when preparing to make a career in one of the uniformed public services. These courses provide the basis for further study and motivation towards career development within the armed forces, police, fire and ambulance service. All levels contain compulsory units consisting of:
Students hoping to join the Level 1 course will not be expected to hold any previous qualifications. Experience and any previous qualifications will be taken into consideration during applications for the Level 2 and students joining the Level 3 will be expected to have GCSE grade C and above, including maths and English, or completion of the Level 2 programme. The course structure allows continuous progression with successful completion of each level and an interview before acceptance on to the next level. |
