The Learner Advisors administer the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) which includes monitoring attendance and behaviour.

Money to Learn
If you have set your mind on a particular course of study but are concerned about the costs involved there are several means of support available:
For 16-18 year olds
- Tuition and examination/registration fees are free
- You may be eligible for Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
- The Learner Support Fund could help with some of the additional costs such as equipment, books and uniform
- Childcare costs could be met via Care to Learn *
For 19+ year olds
Tuition fees could be waived if you are in receipt of an income based benefit such as Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support, Council Tax Benefit or Housing Benefit.
- Tuition fees could be waived if you will be studying towards your first full Level 2 qualification**
- Tuition fees could be waived if you are aged 19-25 and you will be studying towards your first full Level 3 qualification***
- You may be eligible for Adult Learning Grant (ALG)
- The Learner Support Fund could help with some of the additional costs such as equipment, books, uniform, travel and childcare
- Free Childcare for Training and Learning for work may be applicable
