What They Say - Student Testimonials

I've just completed my third short course at Lowestoft College, this time the Part P course with John Ware.

Once again, I feel compelled to express my appreciation of the service I have received from the college.

The teaching was, of course, to the highest standard. I'm not the brightest student, and initially struggled a little, but my confidence grew as the week progressed.

Martin Hampson's input was invaluable. He's an experienced electrical engineer with lots of practical advice to offer, and works perfectly alongside John.

I was sorry that the Galley was closed, but not to worry as the Core provided an equally high standard of food and service.

I was sorry to be late for afternoon break on the final day, as I didn't get to say goodbye to Jo ( I think that's her name). Her lovely smile and friendly manner always made my day!

Please pass on my thanks. Edwards and Blake provide an exceptional quality of catering.

I understand that the college is expecting an OFSTED inspection.

I sincerely hope that it achieves at least the 'good' grading that is so richly deserves. It is such a friendly place. almost everyone I passed in the corridors acknowledged me with a greeting or smile, including caretaking staff and securiy personnel.

Good luck with the inspection, and I'll be back next spring for City and Guilds 2391.

With very best regards,

Patrick Wright

"...I very much regret not having the opportunity to say thank you and goodbye after the exam. I managed to attain a 100% pass in all elements, which is attributed to your inspirational and crystal clear teaching.

Thanks to the College material and the two days of tuition, I have caught up with many of the fundamentals of electrical theory that I missed out on by not attending college as a young man.

I will be talking with my employers about continuing my studies; I would love to do part P.

Meanwhile, I feel much more confident in my work. The code of practice will serve as an excellent guide – I see that you were the author.

Thank you for two excellent days of tuition…"

A warm thank you for allowing me to participate in the English Language class, one quarter of the way through the year and then working with me on my different course work.

Your guidance through my native language for the examination was exciting, entertaining and enjoyable making my return to education a breeze!

Please remember the next time you are cruising on the river I may be at the helm of one of those sail boats trying to play chicken, you should always give way though just in case it may not be me, possibly someone else.

Thanks so much for the knowledge and enjoy your summer.
